Job Description
As a Swim Instructor at South Coast Aquatic Team, you will lead swimming programs and offer personalized individual and group lessons for children of different ages and skill levels. This role is perfect for students with a strong interest in swimming, exceptional communication abilities, and a natural talent for motivating young swimmers while fostering a love and respect for the water. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-driven Swim Instructor to join our team and support our South Coast Aquatic Team located in North Bend, OR.
Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skills
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, offering feedback and support as necessary
Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, preferably in an educational or instructional environment
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swim strokes and techniques
• Background in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and creative teaching skills
• Strong behavior management skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is a plus, showcasing an understanding of working with children in a structured setting
• Passion for swimming and a love for working with children
